The Currys Music

From the Blog

Return from the Galapagos!

We’re baaaaaack! We three Currys just spent three weeks abroad, joined by 50 other intrepid travelers, exploring one of the most historic and protected natural areas in the world–the Galapagos Islands!

After flying to Quito, Ecuador, we made our way with two different groups to the Enchanted Islands, exploring Santa Cruz, Floreana, Isabela, and San Cristobal islands. We saw giant tortoises, blue-footed boobies, Darwin finches, marine iguanas, spotted-eagle rays, green sea turtles, vermillion flycatchers, white-tipped reef sharks, hammerheads, manta rays… oh my! Oh, and sea lions. Lots and lots and lots and lots of sea lions.

We squeezed in three or four Currys performances each week, in coffee shops or on hotel terraces, with our small portable speaker and microphone and a bunch of imported Currys fans singing along. It was great for the ego, but even better for the soul. There’s nothing quite like being face-to-face with untouched nature to keep you both grounded and optimistic. It was a singular experience.

We’ll be posting some pictures to social media and encouraging others to share their trip experiences. It was pretty much the trip of a lifetime, but if you missed out, don’t worry–The Currys have more adventures planned for next year. Stay tuned!
