The 10th anniversary of the Panhandle songwriter festival Blast On the Bay was pre-empted by Hurricane Michael, which dealt a historic blow to the communities that support the festival every year. The songwriters have collectively decided to host a benefit event in Nashville to support recovery efforts in Mexico Beach, Port St Joe, Indian Pass, and Cape San Blas. We’ll be joining them there and hope you will, too. The bill includes some of the best writers in the business, who have had cuts by artists such as George Strait, Faith Hill, and Garth Brooks.
